Elaine Evelyn Hogan of Creve Coeur, Mo., and formerly of Ashley departed this life in the Parc Provence for Seniors in Creve Coeur, Mo., on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at 7:10 a.m. She had attained the age of 87 years, three months and 25 days.
Mrs. Hogan was born on July 8, 1925, at Granite City, the daughter of William Louis and Pearl Bernice (Anderson) Jones. She was united in marriage to Len Richardson Hogan on Jan. 4, 1946, at Kansas City, Mo., and he preceded her in death on July 29, 1993.
Elaine was a homemaker and a member of the Ashley United Methodist Church in Ashley. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and the Farm Bureau in Nashville, Sun Health Auxiliary, the Art Museum and the Sun City West Women’s Club (Sewwes) in Sun City, Ariz.
Left to mourn her passing are her three children, Michael Hogan and his wife Sue of Nashville, J. Daniel Hogan and his wife Colleen of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Kenneth L. Hogan of University City, Mo.,; three brothers, Milton Jones of Afton, Mo., Maynard L. Jones of St. Louis, and K.R. “Richard” Jones of St. Louis; two sisters, Shirley Schillinger of Granite City and Sharon L. Perkins of Florissant, Mo.; three grandchildren and nieces, nephews, other relations and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers, Donald, Leonard and Wayne.
Funeral services will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley, on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Cevin Dugan officiating and with interment in the Ashley City Cemetery in Ashley.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. until the service hour.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the Ashley City Cemetery or Ashley United Methodist Church and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
