Evelyn Earldine Gregory, 85, of Moweaqua, died Dec. 9, 2012, in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Earldine was born May 17, 1927, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Earl and Lulu (Williams) Chapman. She married Martin Richard Gregory in New Madrid, Mo., on Dec. 6, 1941. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2011.
Earldine was a housewife and loving mother. She taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of the Pana General Baptist Church.
She is survived by sons, David and wife Angela Gregory of Lovington, Richard “Bud” and wife Suzanne Gregory of Cape Coral, Fla., Dennis and wife Anna Gregory of Macon and Roger Gregory and special friend Rhonda Whitlow of Moweaqua; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Harold Chapman.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua with Pastors Rodney Houser and Jack Hannum officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery, Moweaqua.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Seitz Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to 1st Baptist Church of Moweaqua or Moweaqua Lions Club.
