MT. VERNON — —
David A. Wolk, 79, of Herrin and a former resident of Trenton, Mo., and Mt. Vernon, passed away 12:55 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at the Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin.
David was born Sept. 27, 1933, in Baden, Mo., a son of Raymond D. and Claudia Mae (Austerschmidt) Wolk. He was a member of the Christian Fellowship Church in Mt. Vernon. Mr. Wolk was a teacher.
He is survived by two sisters, Lorraine Schnettgoecke of Florrissant, Mo., and Mary Ann Reis and husband Don of Herrin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Raymond D. Wolk and Norman Wolk.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
