Mary L. Arning, 82, of Centralia, passed away at 10:02 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2010, at Salem Township Hospital.
She was born in Wamac on March 9, 1928, a daughter of Guy and Hazel (Fouts) Baldridge. She married Victor Arning Feb. 1, 1948, in Hoyleton, and he preceded her in death Dec. 3, 2000. She was a homemaker and beauty operator.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia with the Rev. Perry Schefelker officiating. Burial will be at Fouts Cemetery.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Arning is survived by a daughter, Peggy Weyer (Dennis) of Centralia; a brother, Don Baldridge (Helen) of Centralia; grandchildren, Christy Prather, Jason Arning, Angie Powels, Aaron Meyer, Dustin Watkins and Rosanna Watkins; and great-grandchildren, Spencer Prather, Gracie Prather, Jacob Powers, Paige Powers and Alana McWilliams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Guy Dean Baldridge; and a son, David Arning.
Mrs. Arning lived all her life in the Centralia area. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Centralia.
