Vada Flavin, 79, of Sun City West, Ariz., died Nov. 16, 2012. She was born July 13, 1933, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Verne and Hazel (Drennan) Hale.
She married Robert Flavin April 25, 1981, in California; he survives.
Vada is survived by her husband Robert (Bud) Flavin of Sun City West, Ariz.; daughters Nancy Perkins of Scotts Valley, Calif., and Karen Kendall of Phoenix, Ariz.; son Michael Kronenberger of Gilbert, Ariz.; stepsons Jim Flavin of Idaho and Dan Flavin of California; stepdaughter Sandy Flavin of Tennessee; grandchildren Melissa Bregante of Capitola, Calif., and Jeremy Kronenberger of Gilbert, Ariz.; brother Dennis (Deana) Hale of Mt. Vernon; niece Becky (Art) Mills of Tuscon, Ariz.; and nephew Jerry Hale of Mt. Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, David Kronenberger.
She attended Mt. Vernon Township High School, graduating in 1950. Vada was a telephone operator in Belleville until she moved to California in 1964, where she worked for Pacific Telephone Company until retirement.
Vada is to be cremated and no services are planned. Her ashes are to be scattered at a later date in Illinois.
