Leroy “Porky” Joslin, Jr., 38, of Mt. Vernon, died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at his home in Mt. Vernon.
He was born Monday, May 20, 1974, in Mt. Vernon, the son of Harry Leroy, Sr. and Sandra (Wehrlen) Joslin. He was married to Heather Smart.
Leroy was a taxi driver for American Cab Company in Mt. Vernon and later worked for Mt. Vernon Transit and was a member of ABATE motorcycle club Chapter 27 in Mt. Vernon.
He is survived by his mother, Sandra Chavez of Batesville, Ark.; father, Leroy Joslin, Sr. of Mt. Vernon; sons, Justin Joslin of Mt. Vernon and Jacob Joslin of Mt. Vernon; special friend, Emily of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Leann Seaman of Bradenton, Fla. and Kim Spangler of Texico; and several half-brothers, half-sisters, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and twin sons.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Union Chapel Cemetery in Jefferson County with the Rev. Derek Downs officiating. Interment will be at Union Chapel Cemetery in Jefferson County.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
