Judy Carney, 64, of Opdyke, passed away at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor.
She was born in Washington, the daughter of Noal B. and Frances (Deneen) Lorance on Nov. 15, 1948. She married James Allen Carney on June 16, 1968, in Opdyke, and he preceded her in death on May 15, 2008.
Mrs. Carney is survived by sons, James “Marty” Carney of Opdyke and Steve Carney of Opdyke; sisters, Gertrude McGrellis and husband John of Fort Myers, Fla., Iona Giosta and husband John of Phoenix and Dolly Jones and husband David of Bonnie; and brother, Raymond Lorance and wife Betty of Opdyke.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Carney will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Crisel Cemetery in Dahlgren with Bro. David Shores officiating. There will be no visitation. Those attending the service are asked to meet at the cemetery on Thursday.
Johnston Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon is in charge of arrangements.
