Evadene June Reed, 77, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center.
She was born in Ina on June 22, 1935, the daughter of Leonard and Crisa (Jones) Summers.
Mrs. Reed was a retired bookkeeper.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Reed of Mt. Vernon; daughters, Sheryl DcDermott of Goreville and Joetta Devine and husband Josh of Waltonville; son, Matthew Reed and wife Diane of Dix; seven grandchildren; and sisters, Sharon Fowler and husband Fred of Ina and Jolane Roth and husband Bryon of St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert L. Reed, Jr.; and son-in-law, Jack McDermott.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Kirk Cemetery in Ina with the Rev. Ted Anderson officiating. There will be no visitation. Those attending are requested to meet at the cemetery.
The Johnston Funeral Home in Ina is in charge of arrangements.
