Wesley Adams, of Bonnie, was discharged from Good Samaritan Regional Health Center to his farm in heaven, to take up his profession of farming, on Feb. 22, 2013. He had reached the age of 77 years, 6 months and 28 days. Wesley was born July 24, 1935, the 7th child of Troy and Nell (Kirk) Adams. On March 13, 1955, he married his love, Louise Hughes in Bluford, by his oldest brother, Rev. James Adams.
Wesley was a loving husband to Louise; dad to Kathy (Jim) Likens of Bonnie, Linda (Kenneth) Piercy of Bonnie; grandpa to Carl (Carrie) Turner of Hartford City, Ind., Michelle (Bobby) Pilson of Belle Rive, Ashley (Jeff) Norman of Bonnie; great-grandpa to Breanne, Hayden and Wyatt Pilson, Shelby Turner and Bayleigh and Maddison Norman; and brother to Harry. And best buds with Little One, his cat.
He was a lifelong resident of Bonnie, taking up the family profession of farming, settling a half mile east of his parents home on what is now Adams Road. Wesley rode a pony to attend Spring Garden, Hungry Hills Schools, graduating from Mt. Vernon Township High in 1953.
Wesley's parents, Troy and Nell; brothers, James, Wayne and Kenneth; sisters, Bernice and Dorothy; and grandson, Kenneth Piercy are waiting on the farm for him.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bonnie Church of God with Pastor David Bowen officiating. Burial will be in the Kirk Cemetery in Ina. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bonnie Church of God and after 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday.

Arrangements are under the direction of his Johnston Funeral Home in Ina.
