Leroy F. Littrell, 70, of Mt. Vernon, formerly of Eldorado, died at 2:50 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at the Marion V.A. Medical Center.
A traditional service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with L.D. Jolly officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery with graveside military rites.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Leroy was born on May 19, 1939, in Cave-In-Rock, to Willis E. and Goldie (Baylous) Littrell.
He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a lifetime member of the Eldorado VFW, the American Legion and a lifetime member of Amvets.
Leroy is survived by two daughters, Tawana Blackwell of Mooresville, Ind. and Shana Littrell of Woodlawn; stepdaughter, Jacenta McAlexander of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Gordon Littrell of Equality and Glen Littrell of Mt. Vernon; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence and a sister, Mary Evelyn Prince.
