Etta Marie Hardin, 63, of Chicago and a native of Mt. Vernon, passed away at 7 a.m. on Oct. 28, 2009, at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago.
She was born in Mt. Vernon on Dec. 10, 1945, a daughter of Henry and Ala Mae (Webb) Hardin. She was a retired secretary and member of Pavey Chapel C.M.E. Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Jackson Funeral Home with Brother Anthony Moore officiating.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Ms. Hardin is survived by a daughter, Joi (Chris) Disroe of Suwanee, Ga.; a son, Kevin Hardin of Mt. Vernon; four granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; one nephew and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
Services are under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
