Jewell Dean Beckman, 87, of Bonnie, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at the Residential Living Center in Mt. Vernon.
She was born on Aug. 8, 1922, in Mt. Vernon to Weaver and Hazel (Book) Williams. She married Johnie Beckman on May 4, 1946, in Bonnie. He preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 2008.
She is survived by one son, Mark Beckman and wife Vickie of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Anna Hart and husband James of Mt. Vernon and Janet Parson and husband Charles of Waco, Texas; grandchildren, Tiffany Beckman, Chad Dudley, Jamie Krueger, Jodi Michael, Brian Parsons and Stacy Peterson; and great-grandchildren, Cody and Corey Peterson, Savannah, Bryce and Tyler Krueger and Sadelle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Monty; three sisters; and one brother.
She was a member of the Bonnie United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Tuesday at the Bonnie United Methodist Church in Bonnie with the Rev. Gary Whipple officiating. Interment will follow in the Kirk Cemetery in Ina.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Johnston Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
