Donald Webster, 81, of Salem died at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at his home.
He was born Oct. 22, 1928, in Salem, the son of Cyrus and Zelma (Howe) Webster. He married Berta Moller in May of 1952 in Frankfort, Germany and they later divorced.
Mr. Webster is survived by two daughters, Sonja Myers and Judy Webster, both of Centralia; and two sisters, Betty Martin of Alma and Nancy Smith of Salem.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Raymond and Bill Webster; a daughter, Berta Webster; and former wife Berta (Moller) Webster.
Mr. Webster served in the armed forces stationed in Germany. He returned to the states in 1952, having achieved staff sergeant rank within three years. He was also a business agent with Operating Engineers for nine years through local 553. He was a foreman for the City of Salem Water Department and was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Mr. Webster was cremated and there will be no services.
Memorials may be made to the VFW of Centralia and may be left at Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home in Salem, who is in charge of arrangements.
