MASCOUTAH —
Mt. Vernon’s wrestling team beat Mascoutah while losing to O’Fallon and Cahokia on Tuesday night.
Mt. Vernon beat Mascoutah 49-29. O’Fallon beat the Rams 58-16. Mt. Vernon lost 49-29 to Cahokia.
Chase Vosburgh won all three of his matches in the 145-pound weight class. Alex Vosburgh (160), Tristan Penrod (220), Kalen Roberts (106) and Michael Gray (138) all won two matches. Quentin Favors finished 1-1 at 120 pounds.
“Overall, for the meet, the kids did a really good job,” Mt. Vernon coach Sean Docherty said.
Mt. Vernon travels to the Civic Memorial Tournament on Saturday.
