Marion edged Mt. Vernon’s wrestling team 33-31 Tuesday night.
Jacob Williamson (145 pounds), Chase Vosburgh (152), Alex Vosburgh (170), Tristan Penrod (195), Nolan Ford (220), Justin Armstrong (285), Kalen Roberts (106) and Quentin Favors (120) all recorded wins.
Mt. Vernon is 8-4 this season and travels to the Agenta Tournament on Friday, Dec. 28.
Girls basketball
Mt. Vernon 59, Marion 31
Aaliyah Palmer led the Lady Rams with 21 points. Hannah Owens added 15. Other scorers for Mt. Vernon were: Kelby Kujawa nine, Courtney Scarbrough five, Claire Ryan seven and Vicki Skobel two.
Mt. Vernon is 9-1 this season and 4-0 in the South Seven Conference.
Boys basketball
Woodlawn 73, Webber 19
Kris Harlow led Woodlawn with 14 points. Logan Isaac added 10. Ty Coleman and Jake Robinson both had eight each.
Ty Henderson led Webber with seven. Koaltin Dye had five.
Waltonville 41, Hamilton County 35
Trey Witges led the Spartans with 25. Jordan Hale added seven, and Austin Zahm had four.
Waltonville is 7-2 this season.
