Mt. Vernon’s girls basketball team topped Triad 43-30 Saturday.
Hannah Owens led the Lady Rams with 12 points, and Courtney Scarbrough finished with 11. Other Mt. Vernon scorers were: Aaliyah Palmer nine, Claire Ryan seven and Kelby Kujawa four.
Mt. Vernon took a one-point lead into the fourth quarter before going on a 16-4 run to close the game.
The Lady Rams are 12-3 this season and host Belleville Althoff tonight.
