Zach Jines recorded the game-winning hit in the eighth inning Tuesday as St. Mary edged Central City 9-8 in grade school baseball action.
The Knights had knotted the score at 8 apiece an inning earlier when Jayson Hapeman stole home.
Brock Fulkerson relieved starting pitcher Hapeman in the third inning and went the distance from there to earn the mound victory.
In addition to his game-winning hit, Jines singled earlier in the game, while Fulkerson had a double and a single, Michael Gray finished with two singles and Logan Bodine and Sawyer Harrison each chipped in with two singles apiece.
