MT. VERNON — In high school girls golf action, Waltonville picked up a 208-234 victory over Woodlawn at Indian Hills Golf Course in Mt. Vernon.
Waltonville was led by Chelsea Knight, who picked up medalist honors at the meet with a 48. Alyssa McGovern finished with a 55. Bobbie Massie had a 60. Justine Lamke had a 52 and Kate Laird fired a 53.
For Woodlawn, Lexi Bailey paced the Cardinals with a 50. Kourtney Hodge tallied a 61. Alyssa Mullen shot a 58, while Elicia Crider finished with a 65.
• In the boys' meet, Sam Waters led all golfers with a 40 for Waltonville, but it was Woodlawn who pulled off a 179-187 victory.
Woodlawn was led by Kirk Dunbar with a 44. Nick Tannahill finished with 45, followed by Steven Coleman's 46 and Drew Wehrheim's 49.
Josh Cavender had a 51 and Lucas Greenwalt shot a 44.
Continuing for the Spartans, Devan Lamke had a 45. Skyler Witges had a 47. Levi Rapp shot a 55, while Robbie Stanfield finished with a 57 and Joey Talbert pitched in with a 61.
