DODDS — The Annual Dodds Red and Black game will be on Monday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. in the Dodds Gym.
This is an opportunity for family, friends and students to meet the team.
Players, cheerleaders and coaches will be introduced.
"We're planning to scrimmage and have some fun with the game," said Dodds coach Brad Beaty in a released statement on Monday.
Dodds players will take on Rend Lake basketball players in individual shooting contests. Former Mt. Vernon standouts and current Rend Lake Warrior players E.J. Randolph, Glendale Moore, Brian Gamber and Truvaunty Badger will be participating in the contests.
"This will be the fourth consecutive year that we've teamed up with the Warriors for an eventful evening," continued Beaty in the release. We appreciate their willingness to join us again this year.
"It's a lot like a pep rally for our fans, players and cheerleaders. We're really looking forward to and planning for a successful season this year."
Coach Beaty would like to invite the community to come out and share in the excitement. Concessions will be available throughout the evening and there is no charge to attend.
