MT. VERNON — Deadline to purchase tickets for the Mt. Vernon Township High School Sports Hall of Fame banquet is Monday.
Tickets are $25 each and available by visiting MVTHS Superintendent Terry Milt or calling him at 246-5908, or at the Register-News. Tickets may also be obtained by contacting Dave Farley, Jeff Haarmann, Jeremy Hall or Rob Wielt.
The fifth class of the sports hall of fame will be inducted 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Changnon Gymnasium. The 2009 induction class includes Almus Caruthers, Mike Clark, Sonny Ellis, J.C. Gaunt, Rasheeda Love, Howard Ross and Scott Stranski, as well as the 1978-79 girls basketball team and the 1995 baseball team.
