HERRIN —
Woodlawn’s boys basketball team topped Herrin 52-44 Saturday night.
Kris Harlow led the Cardinals with 20 points. Gabe Owens added 12, and Jayson Hapeman finished with eight. Logan Isaac and Matt Kennedy added four each.
Harlow and Isaac had three rebounds along with four assists each.
Herrin took a lead early, outscoring the Cardinals 18-7 after the opening quarter. Woodlawn cut the deficit to 27-25 at halftime and outscored Herrin 19-10 in the fourth.
The No. 2-ranked Cardinals improved to 13-2 overall this season.
