Wrestlers win 3 at Springfield

SPRINGFIELD — Mt. Vernon’s wrestling team finished the Springfield Southeast tournament 3-1 on Saturday.

The Rams beat Chatham 42-30, Champaign Centennial 39-36 and Normal U High 63-12. Peoria Notre Dame beat the Rams 43-30.

Alex Vosburgh (160 pounds), Chase Vosburgh (145), Nolan Ford (220) and Justin Armstrong (285) all finished the tournament undefeated.

Mt. Vernon hosts Murphysboro on Tuesday.
