MASCOUTAH —
Althoff knocked Mt. Vernon’s girls basketball team out of the Mascoutah Invitational Tournament late Friday night.
The Lady Crusaders won the game 43-36.
Aaliyah Palmer led Mt. Vernon with 14 points, and Claire Ryan added nine. Other scorers for the Lady Rams were: Courtney Scarbrough five, Hannah Owens four, Kelby Kujawa two and Natalie Williamson two.
Althoff took a 16-7 lead after the opening quarter and held a 23-16 edge at halftime.
Mt. Vernon is 11-3 this season.
