Waltonville’s boys basketball team started its season with a 58-34 win against Cobden on Monday night.
The win came on the first night of the Christopher tournament.
Jordan Hale led the Spartans with 25 points, and Trey Witges added 18. Matt Rogers had six points. Justin Winchester finished with five.
The Spartans are 1-0 and play Christopher at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
