Woodlawn knocks off New Athens

OKAWVILLE — Woodlawn’s boys basketball team topped New Athens 54-47 at the Okawville Tournament.

Gabe Owens led the Cardinals with 17 points. Joel Robinson was also in double figures with 13. Kris Harlow finished with nine, and Ross Owens added six.

Logan Issac led Woodlawn with seven rebounds.

Woodlawn is currently ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press 1A poll and faces No. 7-ranked Okawville at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the championship game.
