Mt. Vernon wrestlers place sixth

BETHALTO — Mt. Vernon’s wrestling team placed sixth out of 16 teams at the Bethalto Civic Memorial meet Saturday.

The Rams finished with 146.5 points. Civic Memorial won with 176.

Alex and Chase Vosburgh both ended the meet as champions. Quentin Favors and Michael Gray each placed second. Alex Hopkins was third. Tristan Penrod finished fourth, and Justin Armstrong recorded a sixth-place finish.

Mt. Vernon travels to West Frankfort on Thursday.
