VFW Post provides donation
Mt. Vernon Memorial VFW Post 928 provided fencing for the playground on the east side of the Lifeboat Alliance homeless shelter this week. Adjutant/quartermaster Larry Long-Croteau, far left, coordinated the fence installation between Executive Director Jenny O'Daniel, sixth from left, and Lowe's. The fencing will provide a safe environment for the children living at the homeless shelter. Members of the post brought their jeep and held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the donation.
