Rend Lake College student Quenton Sledge applies makeup to sister Kathleen Sledge, a Mt. Vernon Township High School junior, before the opening night of MVTHS’s operetta, “Once Upon a Mattress.” The operetta will also be performed tonight and Saturday, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the show beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 and the ticket booth opens at 6 p.m. each night.
