The Illinois Army National Guard recognized the Jefferson County Operation Iraqi Freedom Committee at the Freedom Salute ceremony at Carterville High School on Feb. 6. The Illinois Army National Guard presented the committee with a flag picture in appreciation for their work to provide PX gift cards to troops in the war zone.
