MT. VERNON — Shoppers were out early to find deals during Black Friday, some even starting Thursday night. Store managers reported large crowds - there were almost 300 people waiting at KMart Thursday night - and said there were items that sold out immediately, such as appliances at JC Penney, according to store manager Terri Calvert.
