SPIN club forms

The Jefferson County University of Illinois Extension has started its first special interest 4-H club at Woodlawn Grade School. The SPIN club is under the direction of 4-H leader and Woodlawn Grade School teacher Charlie Simer, who along with students in fourth and fifth grades, have formed a Robotics Club. The Illinois 4-H Foundation and U of I Extension have purchased two Lego Robotics Mindstorm kits which will be available for loan to 4-H clubs. The group started meeting in January and meets each Monday for six weeks to learn how to build and program robots. SUBMITTED PHOTO
