MT. VERNON — — A capacity crowd filled the C.E. Brehm Memorial Library meeting room to bursting Tuesday night for the History, Mystery and Hauntings of Southern Illinois event. Bruce Cline of the Little Egypt Ghost Society described some of the events he’s witnessed as a paranormal investigator across Southern Illinois, from ghostly visions to strange audio recordings.
