Fatal fire in Waltonville

WALTONVILLE — One man is dead after a fire destroyed his home in Waltonville early Thursday morning.

The home,located at 613 Main Street, on the corner of Main and Union Street in the village, was fully involved when firefighters arrived on the scene shortly after 4:20 a.m. Thursday. According to Waltonvill Fire Protection District Chief Ed Dulaney, a 53-year-old man died as a result of the blaze.

Officials are not releasing the name of the victim at this time, pending notification of the family.
